There's no shortage of things to do in our beautiful region!

Why not explore the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, or the East Coast.

Scarborough, Whitby and Filey are all well worth a visit, as are many of the smaller 'undiscovered' Yorkshire Coast towns.

Castle Howard, Yorkshire Lavender, Eden Camp, Sledmere, Rievaulx Abbey and Flamingo Land are all well within an easy drive, as are the beautiful towns of Pickering and Helmsley, and the exciting city of York.

There's enormous pleasure to be had from simply driving through the region- you'll stumble upon countless pretty sights and villages, each with their own individual things to offer.

There are many lovely Golf courses within an easy drive of the Lodge.

York and Wetherby racecourses offer a great day out for both the young and old alike!

In addition to the North York Moors Railway there is a super local rail network- the station's a five minute stroll from us, and York is just 15 minutes on the train, avoiding all those traffic and Car Park hassles.
